There’s always an invisible cost in taking these stances in the contributors who decided Rust wasn’t for them. None of that is to say that we shouldn’t be clear and definitive in talking about the negative impact of these technologies on the project and our maintainers, we should; or that we shouldn’t respect the wishes of each individual maintainer as to whether they’d like to engage with AI, we should.
